I’m a multi faceted 'do all kinds of stuff' person. I’m a musician, painter, investor, academic scholar, author, surfer, wave catcher, dreamer, and whatever else. I've spent most of my life in school. My bachelor’s degree is from Tyndale College and Seminary, and my master’s degree is from Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, I’m also an alumni of LongRidgeWriters Group.

I'm happily married. My husband and I have three amazing sons. Our family lives in Toronto during the school months, Manitoulin Island in the summer, and Daytona Beach in the winter months.

The key to my writing is walking in the shoes of my characters and allowing them to talk to me. Some decide they want to reveal themselves while others remain quiet. I listen and wait for them to speak, and they often do. Some are verbose and I give them the floor while others shy away in the background.  I don't struggle with their decisions and let it all happen as I become a spectator of drama played out in front of me.
